The AEA Ammonia Certification System is a voluntary system that allows producers, traders, and consumers to demonstrate key environmental attributes – namely carbon footprint and origin – using independently verified data. The AEA Ammonia Registry, built and operated by MiQ, provides participants with a digital infrastructure that enables secure data transfer, transparency, and traceability across the ammonia supply chain, from certificate generation, through trading, to retirement. 

The pilot supports three distinct chain of custody models — Segregated, Mass Balance, and Book & Claim. Envision uses Book & Claim to address the logistical challenges of long-distance physical delivery and facilitate the growth of a global green ammonia market. Book & Claim enables trading of environmental attributes without physical transport, reducing cost and emissions and effectively decoupling the green attributes from the physical supply chain. Similar models already exist in renewable power and SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) and this is the first application for ammonia.

By focusing on new quality productive forces – high-tech, high efficiency and high quality, in line with the new green development philosophy – China is aiming not just to grow faster but to grow smarter, with better productivity, stronger competitiveness, and more sustainable development. 

During the January-March period, high-tech manufacturing saw strong growth, with profits rising 47.4%, adding 7.9 percentage points to overall industrial profit growth, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. Rapid advances in AI and semiconductor-related industries boosted profits in optical fiber manufacturing by a whopping 336.8%, optoelectronic device manufacturing (43%), and display device manufacturing (36.3%). 

The 15th Five-Year Plan comes at a time when China is making steady progress in opening-up. China currently has 23 pilot free trade zones, which account for about 20% of the country’s foreign investment and trade. The negative list for foreign investment, which tabulates the sectors out of bounds for foreign investors, has been shortened to 29 items. Notably, all restrictions on foreign investment in manufacturing have been removed. 

China’s opening-up is no longer only about trade volume or foreign investment. It is increasingly about institutional openness, market access, improved business environments, and stronger alignment with international standards. 

At the same time, domestic demand is becoming an important engine of growth. At a press briefing on April 17, the National Development and Reform Commission said there would be a special action plan to expand domestic demand from 2026 to 2030. 

As the second largest economy, China’s domestic market means immense potential and unlocking that potential will support more stable and sustainable expansion. By strengthening consumption and expanding domestic circulation, the country is building a broader foundation for development. 

Instead of simply chasing short-term gains, China is thinking carefully about how to build a stronger and more balanced economy over time. The 15th Five-Year Plan begins with real strengths: the economy has shown resilience, opening-up continues to expand in quality and depth, and domestic demand is being given greater strategic importance.

Novità ai vertici della Federazione Italiana Nuoto. In seguito alla nomina di Paolo Barelli a sottosegretario ai rapporti con il Parlamento, la guida della Fin passa nelle mani di Andrea Pieri. Il dirigente, che ricopriva già la carica di vice presidente vicario, ha ricevuto ufficialmente la delega per esercitare le funzioni di presidente. Grazie a questo nuovo incarico, sarà proprio Pieri a rappresentare la Federazione all’interno del Consiglio nazionale del CONI.

The new service signals Alaska’s official expansion into Europe and reinforces its role as a global carrier, further establishing Seattle as a premier international gateway for Alaska Airlines.

Alaska’s seasonal service to Leonardo da Vinci Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) is available through Oct. 23, offering guests the only daily nonstop flight from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to Rome. The flight departs Seattle at 5:30 p.m. and arrives in Rome at 1:15 p.m., giving guests a full afternoon to begin exploring one of the world’s most sought-after destinations, from historic streets to rolling vineyards and iconic coastal views. Westbound flights depart from Rome at 3:25 p.m. and arrive in Seattle at 5:45 p.m., inviting Italian guests to experience the Pacific Northwest’s renowned food and wine scene and breathtaking natural landscapes. 

This new European service will also enable some of the best connectivity between Hawai’i to and from Europe with just one stop through Seattle, benefiting Hawai’i-based travelers and opening a new European visitor gateway to the Hawaiian Islands.

Extended Reach, Enduring Runtime
