COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

GUANGZHOU, China, May 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — MingMed Biotechnology Co., Ltd, a biomedical firm focused on the discovery and development of novel therapeutics across multiple therapeutic areas, announced positive results from its Phase II clinical trial of QA102 in patients with intermediate dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Results of the study were presented in an oral presentation at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) 2026 annual meeting in Denver, Colorado.

Intermediate dry AMD is a chronic, progressive retinal disease marked by large drusen and pigmentary changes, representing a significant risk for conversion to advanced AMD. As part of the most common cause of irreversible blindness in older adults, its prevalence is rising, affecting nearly 7% of individuals of 65+ years old in the US.

Study QA102-CS201 is a phase 2, double-masked, randomized, placebo-controlled study was conducted in 150 subjects with intermediate atrophic AMD randomized 1:1:1 to oral QA102 200 or 400 mg, or placebo BID for up to 15 months. Following 12-month treatment, the mean change in drusen volume was reduced by 59.2% in QA102 400 mg group relative to the placebo group. Although the primary efficacy endpoint did not demonstrate a statistically significant difference between groups, the growth rate in drusen volume was reduced 118.2% (p=0.017) and the growth rate in square-root transformed GA area reduced by 42.7% in 400 mg group relative to placebo (p=0.026). In general, QA102 demonstrates the potential to slow down the progression of intermediate dry AMD with an acceptable safety profile. (clinicaltrials.gov NCT05536752)

“Intermediate AMD represents the most prevalent stage of the disease, yet remains an area of significant unmet medical need with a lack of therapies to slow or prevent progression,” said Scott Whitcup, MD, an expert in ophthalmic drug development. “The phase II data for QA102 are very encouraging for millions of people affected by intermediate or advanced forms of dry age related macular degeneration,” said Sunil Patel, MD, PhD, a principal investigator of the study.

“We are delighted to present the compelling Phase II data to the global ophthalmology community at ARVO,” said Fred Ouyang, PhD, Chief Technology Officer of MingMed Biotechnology. “QA102 represents a first-in-class oral therapy for atrophic AMD and is the first drug candidate to demonstrate efficacy signals in intermediate dry AMD. We look forward to advancing QA102 into the next phase of clinical development.”

About MingMed Biotech and SmilebiotekSmilebiotek Zhuhai Limited is a subsidiary of MingMed Biotech, dedicated to the development of first-in-class ophthalmology products. The company’s atrophic AMD pipeline includes two novel candidates: QA102, a new chemical entity (NCE), and QA108, a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

MAASTRICHT, Netherlands, May 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — A new study presented today at the European Stroke Organisation Conference (ESOC) 2026 shows that after decades of decline, stroke incidence is rising again, driven by higher rates in some ethnic minority populations and concentrated among socioeconomically disadvantaged groups.

These findings reflect broader patterns seen in diverse urban populations internationally, pointing to widening health inequalities and highlighting an urgent need to improve uptake of cardiovascular risk programmes across all socioeconomic and ethnic groups.

This 30-year analysis examined how the risk of having stroke varied in different ethnic and socioeconomic groups in a population of 333,000 people in South London, of whom 7,726 had a stroke. After a 34% decrease between 1995–1999 and 2010–2014 (from 198 to 131 cases per 100,000 people), the risk of stroke increased by 13% in 2020–2024.

Although overall trends initially improved, the recent rise was not evenly distributed. In 2020–2024, stroke incidence was more than twice as high in Black African (Incidence Rate Ratio [IRR] 2.31; 95% CI 2.03–2.62) and Black Caribbean (IRR 2.00; 95% CI 1.73–2.31) populations compared with the White population.

Rates remained consistently higher in these groups across the study period, with the highest incidence observed among those experiencing socioeconomic deprivation.

Compared with White participants, Black African and Black Caribbean populations were more likely to have high blood pressure (47% and 29% higher prevalence, respectively) and diabetes (92% and 123% higher, respectively), both of which increase stroke risk. Notably, 12% of Black African patients had no diagnosed risk factors prior to stroke, compared with 6.3% of White patients, suggesting gaps in early detection.

Ethnic inequalities were greatest for intracerebral haemorrhage, a severe and often fatal subtype of stroke, with disparities between Black African, Black Caribbean and White populations being more pronounced than for other stroke subtypes.

Lead researcher, Dr Camila Pantoja-Ruiz from King’s College London, stated that these inequalities persisted even after adjusting for clinical severity, socioeconomic status and other clinical factors. Additional analyses found that Black stroke survivors, particularly Black African survivors, were less likely to receive timely follow-up care, with Black African survivors having 34% lower odds of follow-up.

Additionally, Black African populations were found to experience stroke around 10–12 years earlier than White populations on average. These findings highlight the need for earlier prevention and targeted interventions.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

AMSTERDAM, May 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Norgine, a leading European specialty pharmaceutical company is pleased to announce that PEDMARQSI® (sodium thiosulfate anhydrous) has been registered by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for the prevention of ototoxicity induced by cisplatin chemotherapy in patients 1 month to <18 years of age with localised, non-metastatic, solid tumours.¹

Cisplatin is a widely used and important chemotherapeutic for children with solid tumours, but it carries a substantial risk of permanent hearing loss. Hearing loss in childhood can have profound and lifelong consequences, affecting speech and language development, education, social functioning and overall quality of life.2,3 PEDMARQSI® is the first and only treatment registered in Australia for the prevention of cisplatin-induced ototoxicity in paediatric patients.¹

Gus Rudolph, General Manager, Norgine, Australia, said: “The TGA registration of PEDMARQSI® marks an important milestone for children, families and healthcare professionals in Australia. Cisplatin-induced hearing loss can have lifelong consequences for young patients, and this approval provides an option specifically developed to help prevent this complication in eligible children receiving cisplatin chemotherapy. We are pleased to reach this regulatory milestone and remain focused on working with relevant stakeholders to support access for eligible patients in Australia.”

The TGA registration is based on data from two open-label, randomised Phase 3 clinical trials, SIOPEL 6² and COG ACCL0431.³

“Cisplatin‑induced hearing loss is a well‑recognised and often irreversible complication of paediatric cancer treatment, with significant long‑term implications for communication, learning and quality of life,” said Dr. David Gillen, Chief Medical Officer, Norgine. “From a clinical perspective, the ability to proactively address this risk is an important consideration when caring for children receiving cisplatin. The availability of an approved preventive option represents a meaningful development in the supportive care of paediatric oncology patients.”

Marketing authorisation for PEDMARQSI® in Australia adds to previous approvals in other territories, including Paediatric Use Marketing Authorisation (PUMA) granted by the European Medicines Agency in May 2023 and a national marketing authorisation in the United Kingdom, as well as Swissmedic approval in March 2026.4,5 This milestone further reflects Norgine’s ability to navigate regulatory pathways for rare and specialist medicines.

PEDMARQSI® is not currently included on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).Please refer to the PEDMARQSI
® Consumer Medicines Information (CMI)8 for full safety information on risks, side effects and precautions including the risk of allergic reaction, nausea and vomiting, and electrolyte imbalance (sodium, potassium, magnesium and phosphate).

About PEDMARQSI®PEDMARQSI® is a formulation of sodium thiosulfate anhydrous, specifically developed and manufactured for the prevention of cisplatin induced hearing loss in patients aged 1 month to <18 years with localised, non-metastatic solid tumours. It is the first and only preventative treatment developed for cisplatin induced ototoxicity in this patient population.1,6,7

While order intake was softer year-on-year due to market seasonal patterns and phasing of contracts, momentum is building and strong inflow of orders is expected over the coming quarters. On our 32% revenue growth, this represented both increased product and geographic diversification, with platform products now contributing to our top line, in line with our commitment to our investors. On M&A, we remain highly active, our agreement to acquire 80% of MERIO is a strategically significant move, giving THEON a direct presence in the drone and light aerial platform segment as warfare tactics continue to evolve rapidly. Looking ahead, we will continue to advance our technological capabilities and execute on our growth strategy, progressing toward our €1 billion revenue target by 2029.”

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

LONDON, May 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — GoodWe presented their Warm Home All-in-One Solution at a launch event in London, welcoming nearly 150 industry leaders and market experts for an evening of insights and exchange. The solution integrates solar, storage, EV charging, heating and smart energy management into one unified system, helping homeowners to access clean energy more easily while reducing energy costs.

“The UK Warm Homes Plan sets a clear direction: to transform households into active energy units. This means homes are no longer just consuming energy but also producing and managing it. This is what we call Energy Prosumers.” shared by Daniel Huang, Founder & CEO of GoodWe, in his keynote speech.

PV + Storage in Matured Market with Favourable Conditions

“Demand for residential solar in the UK is growing”, said Markus A.W. Hoehner, Founder & CEO of the EUPD Group. “The market is structurally aligned for accelerated uptake of solar PV and battery storage. We see this trend being reinforced by installer behaviour, with nearly all providers offering bundled PV and storage solutions as a standard residential package in the UK.”

The UK government announced the £15 billion Warm Homes Plan in January 2026, targeting upgrades to up to 5 million homes by 2030. Approximately £5 billion is allocated to fully funded upgrade packages for low-income households, while a combination of subsidised zero- and low-interest loans and investment mechanisms will support broader household adoption of solar PV, batteries, and heat pumps.

GoodWe’s Warm Home All-in-One Solution

With their Warm Home All-in-One Solution including Photovoltaic Building Materials (PVBM), inverter and storage system such as ESA series, EV charger, heat pump, and smart management, GoodWe addresses the key needs of the UK residential solar market. The system allows for a 70% self-consumption rate, substantially reducing the energy bill as well as emissions.

To adapt to different local housing conditions, the company also offers a compact micro-storage solution for social housing and houses with limited space, enabling them to access clean energy with minimal effort.

GoodWe introduced their “One System, One Supplier, One Service” approach during the event. With one brand behind the entire solution, this means a simpler installation process and fewer compatibility concerns for installers. For homeowners, it means a smoother experience and a more reliable system. In the meantime, service becomes clear and standardised.

ESA Energy Storage System at the core

The center of this solution is the ESA All-in-One energy storage system, combining a solar PV inverter with modular batteries and an intelligent energy management system. Designed under GoodWe’s “4S System” concept: silent, smart, secure, and simple, the ESA series is designed to deliver both performance and user-centric experience.

With noise as a major concern for the integration of technology in residential spaces, GoodWe pointed out that even their 3-phase ESA models manage to run as low as 30dB* (*5~8kW｜at 25°C ambient) operating noise. This is achieved through custom low-noise fans, real-time adaptation to operating conditions and ultra silent mode that can be activated by the user.

Industry’s First White Paper on PV + ESS Acoustic Performance

During the event, GoodWe, in collaboration with TÜV Rheinland, released a white paper on PV and ESS acoustic performance, which provides technical insights into noise optimisation in residential adoption and beyond. As the industry’s first white paper dedicated to noise reduction in PV and energy storage systems, it aims to advance low-noise standards across the sector and improve user experience.

“Clearer industry standards around noise are needed for residential energy storage systems. This would help define acceptable noise thresholds and ensure that systems are designed to minimise disturbances in densely populated areas,” shared Aditya Lyer, Key Account Manager at TÜV Rheinland, during the event.

Compatibility with Leading Smart Tariffs

At the launch event in London, GoodWe and Kraken held a signing ceremony honouring their new partnership. The smart features of the ESA Series devices also include Virtual Power Plant (VPP) and Energy Management System (EMS) compatibility. In the UK market, GoodWe have successfully completed system compatibility and integration with Kraken, the technology platform behind Octopus Energy’s smart tariffs.

SOFTSWISS Launches Tech Race Summit 2026 to Address High-Load Infrastructure Challenges

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

GZIRA, Malta, May 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — SOFTSWISS is launching Tech Race Summit 2026, a new high-load technology conference dedicated to solving the engineering and infrastructure challenges in the iGaming industry. The event takes place on 10 September 2026 in Warsaw, Poland. Confirmed speakers include representatives from Amazon, Gcore, and Fastly, alongside technology leaders from iGaming and other high-load sectors.

The summit responds to a clear gap in the current conference landscape. As the iGaming industry grows in complexity, its infrastructure demands increasingly mirror those of other high-volume sectors. Yet most industry events remain oriented toward business development and commercial networking. Engineers, CTOs, product leaders, and technology decision-makers who actually build and run these systems have had no dedicated forum for in-depth technical discussion, comparing approaches, and learning from peers facing the same pressures from different angles. Tech Race Summit is that space.

The summit is built around cross-industry panel discussions. These sessions place knowledge exchange at the centre of the agenda, bringing together iGaming technology leaders and specialists from fields such as fintech, cybersecurity, cloud, and others.

“The iGaming industry has grown to the level of technical complexity that demands its own conversation – and its own community,” said Sergey Kastukevich, Chief Technology Officer at SOFTSWISS. “What we kept hearing from CTOs, engineers, and tech leaders across the industry was that they wanted a space to go deep: real architecture discussions, honest post-mortems, hard-won knowledge from people solving similar problems at scale. That space didn’t exist, so we built it.”

The summit will feature three tracks – the Main Track, the Engineering Track, and the VIP Track – scaling from open keynotes and panels down to small-group roundtables and exclusive sessions for decision-makers. Sessions span high-load systems architecture, AI implementation at scale, cybersecurity, cloud and edge infrastructure, platform strategy, and the technology decisions that are shaping today’s world.

The early bird tickets are available now at the Tech Race Summit website.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Fleet operators across North America, Europe, and APAC can now access Polestar vehicle data directly in MyGeotab — no aftermarket hardware required.

LONDON, UK, May 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Geotab, a global leader in connected vehicle and asset management solutions, today announced the integration of Polestar vehicles into its OEM telematics network, giving commercial fleet operators seamless access to Polestar data within MyGeotab from day one — with no aftermarket hardware installation required. The integration is available globally across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific, supporting all Polestar models.

Developed in collaboration with Geotab, among other telematics service providers, Polestar Fleet Telematics integrates directly into MyGeotab. The Geotab integration enables fleet managers to manage Polestar vehicles alongside all other makes and models on a single unified platform — without fitting additional devices.

Connected vehicle data where it matters most

Through Polestar Fleet Telematics, fleet operators gain near-real-time access to a comprehensive dataset — covering EV battery and charging status, location, tyre information, vehicle security, maintenance alerts, and climate data — flowing directly from Polestar’s connected vehicle architecture into MyGeotab, with no physical installation required.

This breadth of data enables fleet managers to move from reactive to proactive operations — scheduling maintenance before failures occur, optimising charge planning across depots, and maintaining duty-of-care oversight across the entire fleet.

Supporting Europe’s Mixed-Fleet Reality

OEM-embedded telematics removes the need for aftermarket device installation across mixed-manufacturer fleets, reducing logistical overhead and supporting compliance with works council and GDPR requirements — a critical consideration for European fleet operators.

“Polestar Fleet Telematics combines sustainability with intelligence, integrating seamlessly with Geotab to deliver these capabilities directly into the platforms fleet operators trust. Continuous data visibility enables more efficient and informed fleet operations, from day-to-day management to long-term planning. By leveraging Polestar vehicles’ embedded connectivity, fleet managers can make smarter, data-driven decisions — without adding hardware or complexity to their operations.” said Emma Knapp, Manager of Global Key Accounts at Polestar.

Polestar joins an OEM telematics network that already spans over 80% of leading global vehicle manufacturers by fleet market share, including BMW Group, Ford, Stellantis, Volkswagen Group, and Volvo Cars. For fleet operators already using MyGeotab, Polestar vehicles can be connected and deliver data without any additional hardware or installation.

“OEM-embedded telematics represents a change in how fleet data reaches the platform — and Polestar’s connected vehicle architecture makes this integration particularly well-suited for markets that are seriously considering transitioning to electric vehicles.” said Christoph Ludewig, Vice President OEM Global at Geotab. “Fleet operators managing mixed EV and internal combustion engine fleets no longer need separate tools or hardware for each vehicle type. Polestar data flows directly into MyGeotab alongside every other vehicle in the fleet — giving operators the consolidated visibility they need to drive efficiency, support duty of care, and manage their EV transition with confidence.”

Global Availability

The integration is available now across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific, supporting all Polestar models. Fleet managers can activate the service via the Geotab Marketplace or by contacting their Geotab representative.

About Polestar

Polestar (Nasdaq: PSNY) is the Swedish electric performance car brand with a focus on uncompromised design and innovation, and the ambition to accelerate the change towards a sustainable future. Headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, its cars are available in 28 markets globally across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Polestar has four models in its line-up: Polestar 2, Polestar 3, Polestar 4, and Polestar 5. Planned models include the Polestar 7 compact SUV (to be introduced in 2028) and the Polestar 6 roadster. With its vehicles currently manufactured on two continents, North America and Asia, Polestar plans to diversify its manufacturing footprint further, with production of Polestar 7 planned in Europe.

Polestar has an unwavering commitment to sustainability and has set an ambitious roadmap to reach its climate targets: halve greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 per-vehicle-sold and become climate-neutral across its value chain by 2040. Polestar’s comprehensive sustainability strategy covers the four areas of Climate, Transparency, Circularity, and Inclusion.

Network-wide partnership with Alife Health brings a comprehensive AI platform for fertility care, including CE-marked Embryo Predict™, to clinics across 16 countries

SAN FRANCISCO and PRAGUE, May 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — FutureLife Group, one of the major pan-European providers of fertility, IVF and genetics services, today announced a network-wide partnership with Alife Health to adopt Alife’s comprehensive AI platform for end-to-end clinical decision support across its clinic network. The partnership includes deployment of Embryo Predict™, Alife’s CE-marked AI tool to aid in the assessment of blastocysts for transfer decisions. The agreement positions FutureLife as the first large-scale European fertility network to make an institutional commitment to a comprehensive, multi-tool AI platform and the most extensive adoption of its kind on the continent. The partnership follows a successful multi-clinic pilot and expands AI-assisted care across FutureLife’s full network.

The platform supports clinicians and patients throughout the IVF process, from pre-treatment planning through embryo selection. By combining AI-driven insights with clinical workflows, it is designed to improve consistency, transparency, and patient understanding across the treatment journey.

Embryo Predict™, Alife’s CE-marked AI tool, plays a central role in this approach by supporting embryo assessment for transfer decisions. Using deep learning, it generates an AI score for each embryo, alongside personalized reports for patients.

The platform also includes Success Predictor™, a non-medical device search tool which provides outcome projections before treatment, and Egg Retrieval Report, which offers patients visibility into their evolving chances of success following retrieval. Together, these tools extend patient support across the full IVF journey. The collaboration will also introduce standardized reporting across clinics and for more consistent, data-driven care, alongside the development of educational resources for both patients and physicians.

“Fertility care must continuously evolve to reflect the best available science,” said Francisco Lobbosco, CEO of FutureLife Group. “By integrating AI into our clinical workflow, we are raising the standard of care for the patients and families who trust us.”

“Working with Alife and seeing the results of the platform made the decision clear,” said Amy Barrie, Chief Scientific Officer of FutureLife. “Deploying this platform gives our clinical teams a more objective, data-driven foundation for clinical decisions and strengthens performance across our laboratories.”

“When a leading fertility network makes an institutional commitment to AI-powered fertility treatment, it signals that this technology is moving from experimentation to standard practice,” said Melissa Teran, CEO and Co-Founder of Alife Health. “We are proud to partner with FutureLife as they lead the next phase of data-driven fertility care.”

The organization continues to expand its European footprint through organic growth and strategic acquisitions. FutureLife Group is co-owned by CVC and Hartenberg.
