L’offerta turistica e i trasporti regionali si arricchiscono di una nuova opportunità per la stagione estiva. Dal 15 luglio al 6 settembre 2026 prenderà il via un collegamento ferroviario inedito che unirà Pisa, la riviera della Versilia e le montagne di Minucciano. I biglietti per questa nuova tratta sono già a disposizione dell’utenza sui canali di vendita di Trenitalia.

Orari e coincidenze strategiche

L’organizzazione logistica è stata concepita per massimizzare il tempo a disposizione dei viaggiatori, offrendo loro la possibilità di dedicare una giornata intera alle attività all’aperto, all’escursionismo e alla visita dei centri storici. La partenza mattutina garantisce l’arrivo a Minucciano entro le ore 9,20, mentre la corsa serale assicura il rientro nel capoluogo pisano non oltre le 20,56.

A completare il quadro logistico, la nuova linea prevede un’integrazione con tre coppie di treni-navetta attivi tra Aulla e Minucciano. In questo modo si valorizza il ruolo di Aulla come snodo di interscambio strategico, assicurando inoltre puntuali corrispondenze con i convogli della linea Parma-La Spezia per l’intera estensione della giornata.

Lavori in corso e nuove opportunità

Il lancio di questo servizio si inserisce in un particolare contesto di modifiche infrastrutturali. A partire dal 14 luglio, e fino al 6 settembre 2026, la linea ferroviaria Lucca-Aulla subirà infatti una sospensione nel segmento compreso tra Castelnuovo Garfagnana e Minucciano, mantenendo invece la piena operatività sulla tratta Minucciano-Aulla.

Il progetto è stato fortemente sostenuto dall’assessorato regionale ai trasporti, guidato da Filippo Boni. L’amministratore ha evidenziato il duplice obiettivo dell’operazione: agevolare gli spostamenti dei cittadini e promuovere le bellezze del territorio.

Le strutture penitenziarie italiane si stanno trasformando in vere e proprie zone di trincea per il personale sanitario. A lanciare l’allarme è il Coina, il sindacato delle professioni sanitarie, che attraverso una nuova indagine ha fotografato una situazione vicina al collasso sistemico a livello nazionale. Un’emergenza che colpisce duramente anche la Toscana, dove i penitenziari di Pisa e Pistoia registrano livelli di criticità altissimi per chi è chiamato a prestare cure mediche.

Il focus regionale delineato dal dossier restituisce un clima di tensione quotidiana. Nel carcere di Pisa, il 50% delle prestazioni sanitarie erogate all’interno dell’area clinica dedicata avviene sotto la costante minaccia rivolta ai professionisti. Il quadro non è meno drammatico a Pistoia: qui la struttura registra un tasso di sovraffollamento che tocca il 170%. Questa estrema saturazione degli spazi ha innescato un aumento del 35% delle aggressioni ai danni degli infermieri, episodi di violenza che risultano strettamente legati alle richieste di psicofarmaci da parte della popolazione detenuta.

I dati toscani si inseriscono in un disastroso contesto italiano. Il tasso medio nazionale di sovraffollamento si attesta al 130,6%, creando un terreno fertile per un rischio biologico che il sindacato definisce inaccettabile. L’alta densità abitativa favorisce infatti la potenziale diffusione di malattie gravi come l’Hiv, le epatiti croniche e la tubercolosi.

A pesare in modo decisivo sulla sicurezza è la profonda carenza di organico. L’indagine evidenzia come, specialmente durante i turni notturni, i fine settimana o i periodi di ferie, un singolo infermiere possa ritrovarsi da solo a gestire fino a 600 reclusi distribuiti in vari padiglioni. Si tratta di un abisso rispetto agli standard europei di Paesi come Francia e Spagna, dove viene garantito un professionista ogni 80-100 detenuti.

Questa solitudine operativa, unita all’impossibilità di intervenire tempestivamente nelle emergenze, si traduce in circa 4.500 episodi di violenza fisica e verbale all’anno in tutta Italia. Un numero che rappresenta soltanto la punta dell’iceberg: il sindacato stima infatti che ben l’80% delle violenze rimanga un dato ‘sommerso’, poiché molti infermieri, ormai rassegnati, considerano sputi, spinte e intimidazioni come un rischio normale del proprio lavoro.

Di fronte a questa escalation, la sigla sindacale ha avanzato tre richieste imprescindibili alle istituzioni: un piano straordinario di assunzioni per portare il rapporto a un infermiere ogni 150 detenuti, l’istituzione di una specifica indennità economica per il rischio penitenziario e biologico, e infine l’obbligo di un presidio fisso della Polizia Penitenziaria a tutela dei sanitari, soprattutto durante le notti e al momento della somministrazione delle terapie.

A tirare le somme della vertenza è il segretario nazionale Marco Ceccarelli, che preannuncia dure mobilitazioni: “Siamo davanti a un massacro silenzioso e lo Stato ne è complice. Mentre in Europa si garantisce 1 infermiere ogni 100 detenuti, l’Italia manda un sanitario da solo tra 600 reclusi. Ad Avellino non hanno l’acqua, a Foggia e Poggioreale si prendono pugni in faccia. Se il Ministro Piantedosi e il Ministro Schillaci non interverranno con rinforzi immediati e presidi di polizia fissi accanto agli infermieri, proclameremo lo stato di agitazione nazionale. La nostra vita non è negoziabile”.

(“Hanmi”) today announced that they have entered into a license agreement for the development, manufacturing and commercialization of Hanmi’s biologic drug candidate sonefpeglutide (LAPSGLP-2 analog) with Eli Lilly and Company (“Lilly”). 

Sonefpeglutide is a novel drug candidate incorporating Hanmi’s proprietary long-acting platform technology, LAPSCOVERY™. Hanmi has previously received FDA marketing approval for a biologic incorporating its LAPSCOVERY platform and is currently conducting additional global clinical trials for five other programs utilizing the same platform. 

Hanmi has focused on the biological functions of glucagon-like peptide 2 (GLP-2) – including the promotion of intestinal growth, reduction of inflammation, and protection and regeneration of the intestinal mucosa – and has demonstrated these effects through a range of non-clinical studies. BEIJING, May 31, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — This year marks the 70th anniversary of China-Africa relations. CGTN has published an article highlighting Africa’s priority role in China’s overall foreign policy, while tracing how the China-Africa partnership has been forged and strengthened over decades. As Chinese President Xi Jinping and Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi exchanged congratulatory messages on Saturday to mark the 70th anniversary of China-Egypt ties, the occasion also highlighted a broader milestone: seven decades of China-Africa relations. 

Xi noted that over the past 70 years, China-Egypt relations have become a model of amity, solidarity and cooperation among developing countries, as well as a benchmark for cooperation between China and Arab states and between China and Africa. 

Today, China-Africa relations have evolved from a friendship forged in shared struggles into a dynamic partnership dedicated to development, modernization and the rise of the Global South. 

From solidarity to strategic partnership
 

The foundations of China-Africa friendship were laid during a period of profound political change. 

From the 1950s to the 1970s, China firmly supported African countries in their struggles for national independence and liberation. African nations, in turn, played a decisive role in restoring the lawful seat of the People’s Republic of China at the United Nations in 1971. Of the 76 votes cast in favor of the resolution, 26 came from African countries – laying a strong foundation for China-Africa mutual trust. 

Earlier this year, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited Africa, continuing a 36-year tradition of making the continent the destination of China’s foreign minister’s first overseas trip each year, highlighting the importance of China-Africa relations. 

Over the past two decades, China-Africa cooperation has expanded rapidly. The establishment of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in 2000 provided an institutional framework for cooperation, while China’s Africa policy of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith further guided bilateral relations. In 2015, the two sides elevated their ties to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and launched the “Ten Cooperation Plans,” setting a strong foundation for rapid modernization across the African continent. 

At the 2024 FOCAC summit, China and Africa further upgraded their relationship to an all-weather community with a shared future for the new era. China also expanded duty-free access from 33 African countries to all 53 African countries with diplomatic ties by 2025, becoming the first major economy to grant unilateral zero-tariff treatment across all product categories to every African country with which it has diplomatic relations. 

Humphrey Moshi, a prominent Tanzanian economist, described China-Africa cooperation as a significant example of Global South solidarity. He said such solidarity helps transform developing countries from “passive participants” into “active shapers” of international rules. 

Advancing modernization through practical cooperation
 

While political trust forms the foundation of China-Africa relations, economic cooperation has become both the stabilizer and growth engine of the partnership. 

According to data released by China’s General Administration of Customs, China-Africa trade reached a record $348 billion in 2025, up 17.7% from the previous year, with China remaining Africa’s largest trading partner for the 17th consecutive year. The momentum has continued into 2026. In the first quarter alone, China’s trade with the African countries totaled 646.56 billion yuan ($92.2 billion), a year-on-year increase of 23.7%. 

At the same time, the Belt and Road Initiative has reshaped connectivity across the continent by upgrading the railway system with projects such as the Tazara Railway and the Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway, which are flagship projects that set examples for high-quality Belt and Road cooperation between China and Africa. 

According to China’s Foreign Ministry, China has signed debt-relief agreements or reached debt-relief understandings with 19 African countries as of 2023, making it the largest contributor to debt-service suspension efforts under the G20 framework. 

Meanwhile, China has trained tens of thousands of African professionals through scholarships, vocational training and educational exchange programs. As of June 2025, China has established 17 Luban Workshops across 15 African countries, while the China-Africa university cooperation plan, a higher education initiative pairing Chinese universities with African institutions, has connected 114 higher education institutions. 

Paul Frimpong, executive director and senior research fellow of the Africa-China Centre for Policy & Advisory, said China’s contribution to Africa’s development is increasingly visible.

La sanità in Toscana mostra una spiccata solidità clinica nei percorsi ospedalieri più delicati, ma fatica ancora nel far quadrare i conti e nell’abbattere le liste di attesa. È quanto emerge dall’analisi dei dati relativi al 2025 presentati a Firenze, frutto della valutazione condotta dal Laboratorio Management e Salute della Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa, in sinergia con la Regione Toscana, l’Ars e l’Ispro. L’incontro ha riunito i vertici aziendali, i dirigenti regionali e l’assessorato alla salute per tracciare un bilancio e orientare la programmazione futura.

Un quadro in maggioranza positivo

Su un ventaglio di oltre trecento parametri analizzati, circa il 71% si colloca in una fascia di stabilità o di netto miglioramento rispetto ai dodici mesi precedenti. Le vette di eccellenza del Servizio Sanitario Regionale si confermano i percorsi dedicati all’oncologia e all’ambito materno-infantile. In quest’ultimo settore si registrano concreti passi avanti nelle pratiche per l’umanizzazione del parto. I tagli cesarei scendono al 16%, mentre le episiotomie calano dall’8,4% del 2024 al 6,7%. Per quanto riguarda l’assistenza prenatale alle donne di cittadinanza straniera, scende all’11,6% la quota di coloro che si sottopongono a meno di quattro visite, sebbene continui a risultare critico l’accesso ritardato al primo controllo medico, pur in lieve ripresa.

Ottimi riscontri arrivano dalla lotta ai tumori, specialmente per le neoplasie alla mammella e ad altri siti. Si registra una concentrazione dei volumi ottimale per prostata, polmone e mammella, fattore strettamente legato ai buoni esiti delle cure, mentre appare più sofferente l’ambito del colon retto. Un dato allarmante riguarda le cure palliative: il 35% dei pazienti provenienti da casa senza assistenza o dall’ospedale trascorre meno di sette giorni in ‘hospice’, sintomo di una presa in carico troppo tardiva.

Il paradosso delle malattie croniche e le disparità geografiche

La mappa della salute toscana evidenzia alcune disuguaglianze territoriali che richiedono un intervento per garantire l’equità orizzontale, come nel caso dei tassi di ricovero dei neonati nel primo anno di vita o nelle tempistiche degli interventi chirurgici dopo una diagnosi di tumore al colon. Il trattamento delle patologie croniche restituisce invece un quadro complesso. Se da una parte si riducono le ospedalizzazioni evitabili (quelle gestibili precocemente sul territorio) legate alle complicanze di diabete, scompenso cardiaco e BPCO, dall’altra si impenna l’accesso al Pronto Soccorso per gli stessi residenti. Gli incrementi sono del 2,8% per lo scompenso cardiaco, del 3,8% per il diabete e del 4,9% per la BPCO. Si tratta di una dinamica che impone un perfezionamento delle reti di assistenza per assicurare la continuità delle cure.

I nodi da sciogliere: bilancio, farmaci e liste d’attesa

Le principali criticità del sistema regionale riguardano la tenuta economica. L’inflazione, unita ai rincari per i costi di gestione e all’introduzione di innovazioni diagnostiche e farmacologiche, ha impedito il pieno rispetto dell’equilibrio di bilancio. Per recuperare risorse allocate in modo inefficace, la lente di ingrandimento si sposta sull’appropriatezza delle prescrizioni. Si nota un calo nel consumo di antibiotici sia tra gli adulti (-6,25%) sia in ambito pediatrico (-32,14%), pur mantenendo livelli inseriti in fascia critica. Resta elevata la variabilità all’interno delle Aggregazioni Funzionali Territoriali (i gruppi di medici di base). Al contrario, nei reparti ospedalieri la somministrazione di antibiotici è aumentata dello 0,64%, arrivando a 78,6 dosi giornaliere definite ogni 100 giornate di degenza. In crescita anche l’utilizzo di antidepressivi: +2,28% tra gli adulti e un picco del +6,84% nella fascia giovanile tra i 18 e i 25 anni. Sul fronte degli esami clinici, calano al 6% le risonanze magnetiche lombari ripetute, ma salgono a 24 ogni mille abitanti quelle muscoloscheletriche.

Infine, il capitolo dell’accesso alle cure. L’indice di cattura rivela che solo il 58% delle prescrizioni per visite specialistiche e il 62% di quelle per esami diagnostici viene prenotato nell’arco dell’anno. Il rispetto dei tempi di attesa previsti dal piano nazionale è garantito complessivamente nel 72% dei casi per le visite (con una disomogeneità tra le varie zone che oscilla dal 46% all’89%) e nell’88% per la diagnostica (con una forbice più omogenea che va dal 73% al 98%).
